(Chris Darway, “Mechanisms”; Clasps, hinges, springs, gears, soldering and cold connections in the jewelry/metalsmithing studio). 2003 Workshop, Peters Valley Craft Education Center, Layton, NJ. (Peter Ross, “Forging a Traditional English Bracket” -Scrollwork, riveting, slitting/drifting, tool making, and design). 2003 Workshop, Peters Valley Craft Education Center, Layton, NJ. (James Viste, “Damascus over the edge”; Pattern development in steel through forge welding processes). 2000-2001 Associate Residency, Peters Valley Craft Education Center, Layton, NJ. (Worked in the blacksmithing studio for individual clients on a commission basis, while continuing a personal sculptural practice. I also gave demonstrations in local schools and hosted open houses in the studio as part of Peters Valley’s community outreach and education programming). |
