Workshops

I am excited to announce a new way to spend your summer… here at my studio in New Hampshire!

One of the best things about being a maker, furniture designer and artist is getting to share that passion with others. In that spirit, I have decided to open up my home and studio to all of you for a series of summer workshops.

It’s all about learning, experimentation, and community building in our new home studio. The summer here is beautiful, our forest and river peaceful. We are opening up spots to camp and a few bunk beds as well so you can all enjoy the rugged retreat like atmosphere that we are lucky to have year around. Swimming in the river, campfires and potluck meals (to me) are just as important as the techniques and ideas we will be exploring in the shop and classroom.

3D & Model Making

This 4-day class will give you the skills and practice to make you own scale models and bring them into a digital space with a Next Engine 3D scanner. No matter what your project is, with proper planning you will be able to achieve it more efficiently. Moving from the actual world into a Digital Design Landscape is a huge part of my process and in this 4 Day class I will share with you techniques, tricks, and materials for making scale models in the real world, scanning them into a digital format and demo options for what you can do with the design once you have the digital version. Demos will include working with foam, clay and other dimensional materials, using our in house Next Engine Scanner. The goal will be to have each student bring home their own model, both physical and digital. The amazing thing about this process… it is infinitely scalable. I can’t wait to share the possibilities with you all!
