Workshops

I am excited to announce a new way to spend your summer… here at my studio in New Hampshire!

One of the best things about being a maker, furniture designer and artist is getting to share that passion with others. In that spirit, I have decided to open up my home and studio to all of you for a series of summer workshops.

It’s all about learning, experimentation, and community building in our new home studio. The summer here is beautiful, our forest and river peaceful. We are opening up spots to camp and a few bunk beds as well so you can all enjoy the rugged retreat like atmosphere that we are lucky to have year around. Swimming in the river, campfires and potluck meals (to me) are just as important as the techniques and ideas we will be exploring in the shop and classroom.

The house has 2 full bathrooms available for use. Daily meals are not included unless class description calls for a “welcome” or “goodbye” dinner party. You will have free use of kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, and gas grill.

The rate is $10 per person, per night. Please add quantities accordingly in your cart.

Tent areas will not be assigned. They can be chosen on a first come, first choice basis. Students must be respectful of other people’s personal property, tools and equipment. Some toiletries will be provided. Although not strictly enforced, 10pm to 8am quiet hours are strongly suggested.

There will be a campfire area that must be used with caution and under the approval of Vivian Beer, or Studio Assistant.

Students must be familiar with camping during summer season where, heat, rain and bugs could be a factor. Please note that there will be chickens (and coop) on-site.
