Workshops

I am excited to announce a new way to spend your summer… here at my studio in New Hampshire!

One of the best things about being a maker, furniture designer and artist is getting to share that passion with others. In that spirit, I have decided to open up my home and studio to all of you for a series of summer workshops.

It’s all about learning, experimentation, and community building in our new home studio. The summer here is beautiful, our forest and river peaceful. We are opening up spots to camp and a few bunk beds as well so you can all enjoy the rugged retreat like atmosphere that we are lucky to have year around. Swimming in the river, campfires and potluck meals (to me) are just as important as the techniques and ideas we will be exploring in the shop and classroom.

(more dates soon)

The ability to fabricate multiple metals opens up whole new worlds for your artistic endeavors.  Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding is a versatile and precise way to attach many different metals. In this 8 hour class you will be introduced to the materials and techniques required to weld steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Demonstrations will include weld preparation and fabrication strategies as well as laying the weld bead itself! The first half of class will focus on getting familiar with TIG welding and working with mild steel to understand the nuances of the process. During the second half, students will build upon their skills by expanding the materials catalog and introducing metal cutting processes. No previous experience necessary—this is a great opportunity to explore TIG welding for the first time
