Workshops

I am excited to announce a new way to spend your summer… here at my studio in New Hampshire!

One of the best things about being a maker, furniture designer and artist is getting to share that passion with others. In that spirit, I have decided to open up my home and studio to all of you for a series of summer workshops.

It’s all about learning, experimentation, and community building in our new home studio. The summer here is beautiful, our forest and river peaceful. We are opening up spots to camp and a few bunk beds as well so you can all enjoy the rugged retreat like atmosphere that we are lucky to have year around. Swimming in the river, campfires and potluck meals (to me) are just as important as the techniques and ideas we will be exploring in the shop and classroom.

Ever wondered what CAD stood for? How computers are being used to describe ideas, design objects and communicate with industry? This one-day class will show not only the process of using Computer Aided Design Software but how it can be applied and how it has been used in many of my own past projects. Presentation will be followed by a hands-on intro to Rhinoceros, very affordable software favored by Artists.

Required Equipment: Bring your own laptop. A fully functioning demo version of the software can be downloaded for PC or Mac here https://www.rhino3d.com/download It is only for 90 Days so make sure you do not download it too soon before the class. Make sure your computer has enough memory to run the program.

Skill Level: No previous experience needed
