In this 2 hour live online workshop took place on Zoom.

In it I will introduce you to the tools materials and techniques to work directly with concrete. Concrete is an amazing and versatile material, we will concentrate on using it in a Ferrocement or ferro-cement technique which is a system of construction using reinforced mortar (lime or cement, sand and water) applied over an "armature" of metal mesh, woven expanded-metal or metal-fibers and closely spaced thin steel rods such as rebar.

It is fast, low tec and you can really do it anywhere. All skill levels are welcome.

I built a home depot cart of materials and tools you can pull from. If you have the tools no need to get new ones just the mortar, lath and tie wire.

You can add rebar or metal bar stock to use as a substructure as well if you want to do more complex forms. I would recommend 1/8” bar for small objects larger if you have the equipment to work it.
